Kinda funny that back in the 1950’s the girl in the picture for this ad was thought of as chubby, but considering the obesity epidemic in North America nowadays she’s practically svelte. I guess it’s all in your attitude. When I was a youngster in the 1970’s there was a “plump” girl in my second grade class and lots of the kids made fun of her but I did not, and did not understand why they were making fun of her. To them she was fat. To me she was just a different shape – just like people have different color eyes or hair, she had a different shape than the others.
