Bette was nominated for an Oscar for her work in this movie but did not win. I just saw this film yesterday. Pretty good. Based on one of my favourite books by one of my favourite authors, Somerset Maughm.

She is just so horrible awful hideous a person in this one. I love it!
Yes indeed! Bette’s character was such a vile creature. Interesting and daring theme about men loving women who are so very clearly wrong with them. I know, love’s a weird thing.
