Thanks Jack 😉 Save me a sycamore, they’re my favorite.
I am mostly cutting spruce through the season, and a little bit of red maple. For every one spruce tree I cut down 1000 babies spring up. They are insidious and my island is no danger of being left treeless. It’s a battle I’ll never win, a Sisyphean task. At least I get paid for it and I get a great workout.
I love sycamores too. They even grow down here!
OK OK OK I promise not to cut down any sycamores. Mainly because they don’t grow here, this far north. But also because you guys asked nicely.

Just for the record – I’m doing landscaping cutting as opposed to clear cutting acres and acres for pulp or lumber. So much smaller scale. Plus now that I’ve put the chainsaw away it’s time to start… planting trees! Yes, I plant trees too. Mostly apples and cherries.
I figured as much. I didn’t take your for the slash and burn type.
