Unless it was a very calm day on the ocean I don’t think I’d want to go on this boat – just looks like it could roll over easily in big waves. Or maybe watching “Poseidon Adventure” scared me for life like people are scared to swim in the ocean because of “Jaws” and “Megaladon”.

I thought that was the point of catamarans, that they’re supposed to be crazy stable. No?
Yes, usually they are but I’m thinking of big seas like we get around here and the fact that they are making boats out of lightweight carbon fibre crap nowadays that would make the boat less stable.
Actually, it’s a trimaran and super stable, and very fast.
Oh yeah, you’re right – it is a trimaran. And they are pretty stable boats. Thing is, I live in an area where the ocean is pretty rough 10 months out of the year so boating is more of an adventure than “smooth sailing” usually.
