Dear Matt, The fruit looks more like figs than persimmons to me. Ok the lavender sprigs. The most common persimmons grown in here in Italy are the variety Diospyros kaki (kai tipo or vanilla). Please check. Ken. Reply

Those are NOT persimmons. Those are figs…Kadota figs, I think.
